Adjustment Methods

Chiropractic adjustments can be done in many different ways. The chiropractor will make the decision of which method is right for you, so that your experience will be as comfortable and effective as possible.

Diversified Method

This is the most common technique used by chiropractors across the world. It is a short (low-amplitude), quick (high-velocity) thrust over a restricted joint, with the goal of restoring normal range of motion in the joint

Activator Method

The activator is a handheld spring-loaded tool used to manipulate the spine. With a small amount of pressure, followed by a quick thrust, the activator will tap the soft tissue around the problem area. This is a quick and efficient way to manipulate the spine without the traditional twisting.

Thompson Technique

This technique involves a table with padded platforms designed to drop a fraction of an inch when the chiropractor applies a quick thrust

Flexion Distraction

The goal of the flexion distraction table is to allow the spine to move correctly in a way that will remove pressure from the discs. Lying face down, the table will distract and flex the spine with a gentle and rhythmic motion.
